Description:
The edit page section allows you to navigate through the various
sections and design process of the
particular page you want to working on.
Rename Page - Lets you
rename the current page you are editing. Be sure not to rename a
page that has buttons pointing to it. If you rename it you will
have to rename the hyperlink for the button as well in the
editHTML section for the buttons. If you create a new page from
the edit site section then this is where you would rename your
page. Remember that when you name a page always use lower case
letters and no spaces between words. Do not add the extension, .htm
or .html at the end because the system will do that for you
automatically. One you vane created and renamed a page you will
then create a hyperlink to that page somewhere in your site or on
all of the pages.
HTML Help - If you know
HTML or are wanting to learn more about it to broaden your
knowledge in creating more technical pages on your website.
Refresh Page - Allows
you to update the changes you just did within the edit page area.
You will not see your changes until you click on the Refresh Page
button.
Auto Content - Lets you
add
pre designed templates within your webpage. You can select various
page styles, forms, and graphic layouts from several categories
from here.
Main Menu - Takes you
back to the main edit site area. Note that if you made
changes you want to keep you must click on the Update Site rather
then the Main Menu button. By clicking on the Update Site button
it will take you to the Main Menu also and save all of you changes
made to your site to the internet.
Update Site - Instantly
makes the changes you just edited to your website. You must always
"Update Site" to save all changes. If you do not the the
current page you are editing will not change.
Edit Section Buttons - The
buttons allow you to edit the various sections of your page. Be
very careful where you add or edit your content. If there are pre
installed graphics, such as the navigational buttons, it is best
not to add content in these sections. when starting to add your
content it is best to add it to a section that is blank. When
adding new pages you would use the same sections on them as well.
Remember that if you add a new page to your site you will need to
copy and paste the navigational buttons from the section where
they are and paste them into the same section on your new page.
Section buttons are are exclusive to each page, meaning it is not
global, and when you edit a section it only makes a change to that
one page. The Edit Menu Bar Is a global section and making changes
here will make the same changes throughout your site.
Edit Section 1 - Section one is generally
where you will add all of your personal content, text or graphics
as well as any Auto Content you may select. Some sites and layouts
may very depending on the initial template that was used to design
your personal web site. If the navigation buttons are in this
section then it is best to select another section.
Edit Section 2 - Section 2 is generally where
the Navigational Buttons are placed when we design the theme for
your web site. Some sites and layouts may very depending on the
template that was used to design your personal web site. It is
best not to add content in the section that contains your
navigation.
Edit Section 3 etc - There may be other
sections visible within your web site. Again this would depend on
the template that was used and or the package that was selected
when you ordered your personal web site. Remember you can safely

your edit window. This will allow you to place a single image
automatically into that section. Simply click on the image section
you want to edit and select the image from the drop down list.
Edit Logo
- There is yet another section that is used on some templates and
will allow you to place a logo within your site. This section is
also a global editor and any changes made to this section will
effect the entire site.
Menu Bar - The menu bar
editor is another global section if your site has a menu bar
section in it placing a graphic within this section will effect
